Inspiration Boards!

You probably figured out that my favorite color is any shade of purple. My second is yellow so I am thankful that they go together :-)

Wedding Paper Divas has a really nice blog that you might want to look at. I love looking at the 'DREAM" boards, or as they call them Inspirations. Have you made one yet? They do not have to be fancy... just pin your favorite ideas on them. You can change them as you change your mind. The board does not care. Actually you could use Pinterest for this! Just make a Inspiration board there and dream your dreams!

Love to you and your intended!

So you said, "Yes!"

Now what do you do? You plan a wedding! I have some advice before you jump in.

1. Stop

2. Look

3. Listen

I am going to help you right now by being your pre~wedding plans planner LOL!! Planning a wedding is mind boggling and if you don't have some idea of what you want you will end up wasting not only your money but your time as well. Time will be a very important word to you as you get closer to THE DATE!

1. Stop ~ Stop and think of what you want. What does your husband to be want? Compromise. May as well get used to that word and start it now.

Pretend you are a reporter and discuss the following with your intended (you don't have to film it or take pictures like a reporter but you know? That may be a great idea!):

Who: Who will be invited? You don't have to make a list just yet but see if he needs his Great~Great Aunt Martha at the wedding :-) Do you want your Great~Great Aunt Martha there?

What: Big wedding, small wedding? In the middle wedding? No Wedding, GASP!!

When: Pick out a date with him. He probably wants NOW seeing how he took forever to work up the confidence to ask you. Not a good idea. You need a bit of time to get ready!

Where: So many places, so many places already booked up for months... be flexible and you will save yourself a lot of heartache.

How: Just how much do you want to spend? If you are very very rich or marrying some one very very rich... choose your answer with your heart. If you are not so rich, rather regular income or even have to save up? Choose your answer with your brain. We pretty much fall in the second category. How did I know? Not many movie stars read  my blogs :-)

2. Look ~ Look around and see what you like. If you buy the first invitations you see you will probably be disappointed. I usually end up wanting the eleventh one I see. Of anything. Trust me.

Buy a couple of magazines (if you are rich LOL some of them cost more than the wedding!) Drool all over the pages as you get ideas. Go online and search out free catalogs just for ideas. Just because you get an idea from a catalog, you do not have to purchase from there.

What do you want for your wedding colors? Does your favorite color and your honey's blend well? What two to three colors talk to you? What would make you feel beautiful?

3. Listen ~ I know you hate to admit it but sometimes mom does know best. Talk to your family, who knows better the family traditions to make your wedding special? Talk to the grooms mom. Do they have any thing in their family that makes family memories?

Listen to others that have just married. They will tell you horror stories but by listening to them you will get ideas of what NOT to do. Every little bit of information could help you with your choices. Take notes :-)

I want to keep this short so I do not put you to sleep. I am Patty, one of those old people that thinks she knows everything. Mostly I don't and I am not too proud to admit it. I am disabled and keep myself amused by writing blogs that no one reads. :-)

My hobby is being an affiliate with great big companies (and some pretty small ones too). I am making this blog because I am an affiliate of Wedding Paper Divas and I fell in love with the products. I am single. Don't have any plans to get married so I thought I would help others with theirs.

If you go through my links to see the sales at Wedding Paper Divas? I will earn 7% to 10% on the sale. I seldom make money but that is okay. I really like helping people and keeping myself occupied. And if I do make money? I buy treats for Peanut, my Chihuahua. She is the Supervisor :-)

This blog will have thoughts, ideas, tips and savings from Wedding Paper Divas AND other places that have GREAT deals. But mainly WPD. WPD has weekly sales that might (I hope) blow your socks off! They have some FREE things so I will try to get them on this site and the facebook page today ;-)

Love you!
